    INGREDIENTS IN KETO CHICKEN WINGS

Bone-in chicken wings - Wings can come from the store or butcher split or in one piece. If they are still connected, cut them up so that you have both a drumette and a flat wing from each.

Salt and pepper - A must for any savory recipe, add as suggested in the recipe or to your own taste.

Tomato Sauce - Canned tomato sauce gives body and a natural sweetness to your keto chicken wings.

Filtered water - To mix everything together evenly.

Balsamic vinegar - The deep flavor of balsamic adds a ton of character to the sauce, don’t skip this!

Apple cider vinegar - Another flavor must in this recipe - apple cider vinegar gives the perfect tang.

Coconut aminos - For a hit of umami.

Garlic powder - A savory pinch of flavor from garlic powder is perfect with the other ingredients here.

Onion powder - For flavor and perfect in chicken recipes.

Paprika - Adds flavor, spice, and color to your wing sauce.

    ARE CHICKEN WINGS KETO?

Yes, chicken wings are keto. Each wing on its own without any seasoning or sauce has 6.4 grams of protein and zero grams carbs.

Our keto chicken wing recipe adds very few additional net carbs so that you can enjoy chicken wings on keto.

If you are ordering wings from a restaurant, watch out for breading or sugary sauces.

    HOW TO CUT CHICKEN WINGS

Your chicken wings may come from the store still intact. There are three pieces to each wing: The small drumstick, The flat wingette, and the tip.

You can cut the tip off and toss it - or save them in the freezer to make stock from later.

To separate the other two pieces, take a sharp knife and cut at the joint that is holding them together.

CAN I MAKE KETO HOT WINGS?

This recipe makes a savory barbecue flavored wing, but you can adjust the seasonings to make them spicy.

I suggest trying some of your favorite keto friendly hot sauce, drizzled on the wings when they are finished.

Once you get the hang of this keto chicken wing recipe, you can try a traditional Buffalo wing sauce that is Frank’s Red Hot sauce and butter.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH KETO CHICKEN WINGS?
