Salmon Bites Ingredients
Soy Sauce (or Tamari Sauce )- This is your saltiness in the dish. Tamari is a great alternative to soy sauce if you are looking for a gluten-free recipe. You can also use gluten free soy sauce.
Honey- This ingredient adds the much needed sweetness that will balance out the saltiness of the soy sauce. It will also help create the perfect crust on the salmon which gives a great texture to the fish.
Garlic- Fresh garlic is recommended in this dish and compliments the other flavors in the marinade so well. You can also use store bought minced garlic if you're in a pinch for time. Garlic powder can also be used, but it is last on my list.
Fresh Ginger- Fresh ginger is a must for its spicy, unmistakable taste that is a staple in Asian-inspired dishes.
Black Pepper- Black pepper adds a little kick to the flavor of the marinade.
Salmon Fillet- It’s always recommended when purchasing any kind of fish to buy the highest quality fish you can afford, for added health benefits. Wild Alaskan Salmon is a wonderful choice and contains an abundance of healthy fats.
But whatever you find will taste great.
Fresh or frozen salmon can be used in this recipe. Just thaw the frozen salmon completely before soaking it in the marinade.
