Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce or Tamari sauce
  • ¼ cup pure honey
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger grated
  • ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 pound salmon fillet skinned and cut into 1-inch pieces

Instructions

  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil; set aside.
  • Combine soy sauce (or tamari sauce), honey, garlic, ginger, and cracked pepper in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Add the salmon pieces to the marinade and toss/stir until the salmon is evenly coated. Let the salmon bites marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, tossing/stirring half way through.
  • After the salmon has marinated, move the oven baking rack so it's about 4 inches from the heating element inside your oven, and preheat your oven broiler.
  • Place the salmon pieces onto the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle any remaining marinade from the bowl over the salmon.
  • Broil the salmon bites in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes, and then turn each piece over and broil for another 2-3 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through. Exact broil time will depend on how thick your salmon is.
  • Remove the salmon bites from the oven and allow them to sit for a couple of minutes before serving.
