Ingredients
  

  • 1 6-oz. can tomato sauce
  • 4 oz. filtered water
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat until it starts to boil.
  • Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring often.
  • Use right away or store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • This recipe is a tangy, southern style keto BBQ sauce.
  • For a smokey keto BBQ sauce, reduce the balsamic vinegar to 2 tablespoons, add 2 tablespoons granulated sweetener like Lakanto, and 1 teaspoon of liquid smoke.
  • For a spicier keto BBQ sauce add 2-3 tablespoons of dried chili peppers and reduce the balsamic vinegar to 3 tablespoons.
  • For a sweeter keto BBQ sauce, reduce the balsamic to 2 tablespoons and add 2-3 tablespoons granulated sweetener like Lakanto.
